Q. How does MARS know who is past due? A. Every night, MARS analyzes every charge for every visit for every patient based on criteria defined by each practice. |

Q. How does the data get to TSI? A. It is transmitted electronically in a secure encrypted file. |

Q. How does MARS work? A. The MARS software is loaded on a PC that is networked to the billing server. Each night, MARS copies the data files necessary to analyze and display accounts in need of attention. MARS does not modify ANY information on the server. |
Q. How does my billing software know an account is sent to TSI? A. It doesn’t. Since MARS works off from copies of data files and does not interact with the billing software, it isn’t able to change information status. Transmission Reports provide the necessary information to manually update patient accounts should the practice choose to do so. |
